We’re on a mission
BYOU was founded in 2021 by Shakeitha LaFleur, a woman who recognized that there was a need in our community to provide recently incarcerated women with a second chance.
But we didn’t want to just stop there. We’re here to help women who are struggling with any form of bondage. Women who are grief stricken, those who wish to overcome substance addiction, those who are in abusive relationships, and many more.
As the organization grows, we plan to build a facility, develop programs, workshops, and conferences that will educate, motivate, and help women heal all around the Houston community, and then the world.
In order to accomplish our vision, we need you to come on board. Big or small, all donations matter. Help give a woman in need a second chance to get it right.
That’s something everyone deserves.

It's time to heal...

It's time to smile...

It's time to start...

It's time to thrive...
